Project Description
Grip Glove is a wearable assistive device that gives people suffering from chronic and severe hand weakness the strength to perform simple activities that they otherwise could not complete. The glove features air-filled actuators that safely guide and support the hand’s natural range of motion, and integrated sensors that detect user intent. This lightweight, portable, soft actuated tool immediately restores basic hand function for its wearer allowing them to perform simple tasks (e.g. eating, drinking) without relying on outside help.
This project has been picked up by several sites including WGBH’s Greater Boston.
